Spring - Fall Positions: Beekeeper Assistant: 1 full-time |
Intelligent
and motivated
individuals.
While experience is an asset, we are willing to train. |
Ability
to work around bees. Duties include checking and working hives, unwrapping hives, moving hives, adding boxes, raising queens, loading & unloading trucks, stripping & extracting honey, washing equipment, cleaning the honey house, feeding hives, wrapping hives. Could be operating a hydraulic lift to move honey boxes or putting empty boxes onto the hives. The job could include fencing, working with wood and building equipment as well. Most of the time will be spent outside helping with the hives with a crew of 2-3 others. However, this job will be flexible, filling spots as needed. This job will be 5 days/week. The season could start sometime in April and go until November or it could be shortened to work for a university student. It will depend on the successful candidate and the weather. |
Salary:
$15-20/hour. The
hourly rate will be adjusted accordingly and retroactively paid to your
starting date.

Spring -

Beeyard and Fence Maintenance position: 2-4
days/week |

Salary:
$15/hour is where you start until we see your work ethic. The
hourly rate will be adjusted accordingly and retroactively paid to your
starting date. This is a part-time position that can have flexible
hours that you plan around your schedule and the weather as long as the
work gets done.

Field positions:
